Renewal Support
The Renewal Support feature allows you to add an email address for your reseller during device registration so they can receive notifications about important lifecycle events affecting your Smart-UPS. If you specify an email address, your reseller will be emailed asking them to accept your invitation. If your reseller accepts your invitation, they will receive important­­ information about your Smart-UPS, including the expected dates of when your UPS warranty expires, and when your battery needs replacing. When your Smart-UPS requires maintenance, your reseller will be emailed 3 months in advance notifying them. Your reseller can then contact you and provide maintenance support for your Smart-UPS.
If you no longer want to share your UPS information with your reseller, you can disconnect at any time. If you want to re-connect with your reseller, you can add their email and they must accept your invitation again.
You can view the status of your reseller connection at any time via the Renewal Support page in the secure web portal. For more information on the statuses shown, see What do the different statuses mean?
NOTE: If you use the Renewal Support feature, you are still responsible for your UPS lifecycle events and the maintenance of your Smart-UPS.
